The Role
We are hiring our first US-based SDR to spearhead outbound prospecting into the American
SME market. This is a pure outbound role – you will be responsible for identifying, engaging,
and qualifying decision-makers at private sector businesses across industries such as
hospitality, legal, logistics and transport, and beyond.
This is not a role for someone who wants to make volume calls and book warm leads. We are
looking for a seasoned SDR who understands how to uncover genuine pain, build rapport with
business owners and IT leaders, and deliver highly qualified, Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) –
meetings where the prospect has a real need and is ready to engage.
You will be the face of ThreatSpike in the US, working closely with a UK-based team of 6 and
reporting into the Sales Manager. This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground
up in a well-funded, high-growth cybersecurity company.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive purely outbound prospecting across US private sector SMEs (50–250 employees)
- via cold calling, email, and LinkedIn
- Identify and engage the right decision-makers – typically IT managers, Operations leads,
- and C-suite at growing SMEs
- Qualify opportunities rigorously based on pain, urgency, and fit – only booking meetings
- that genuinely meet SQL criteria
- Use a multi-channel, personalised outreach approach to break into target accounts
- across verticals such as hospitality, legal, logistics, and transport
- Leverage intent data from Snitcher and website visitor insights to prioritise warm
- accounts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HubSpot CRM
- Collaborate with the UK team and Sales Manager to refine messaging, targeting, and

- Represent ThreatSpike at US industry events (and potentially international events)
- Continuously improve your prospecting playbook based on what works in the US market
- Targets – 14 SQLs per month + £350,000 genuine pipeline.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
- Proven track record as an outbound SDR, ideally in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, IT, or
- technology
- Demonstrated ability to book highly qualified meetings – not just meetings, but real
- opportunities
- Strong discovery skills – you know how to uncover pain and build a compelling case for
- change
- Comfortable selling into SMEs and engaging non-technical buyers as well as IT
- decision-makers
- Experience with multi-channel outbound: cold calling, cold email, LinkedIn outreach
- Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently as the sole US SDR
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
- Experience selling cybersecurity, managed security services, or IT solutions
- Familiarity with the US SME market across hospitality, legal, logistics, or transport

- Experience using ZoomInfo, Lusha, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Ringover, or similar tools
- Experience attending and prospecting at industry events

Compensation & Commission
We believe in rewarding performance, and this package is built for SDRs who deliver. The
commission structure is based purely on Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), meetings that meet our
qualification criteria around pain, budget, and fit.
In addition to per-SQL commission, you will earn 2% of the closed deal value for every deal that
originates from your pipeline. This is completely uncapped – high performers can significantly
exceed the OTE.
Example: 18 SQLs in a month = 10 x $108 + 5 x $160 + 3 x $230 = $1,080 + $800 + $690 =
$2,570 in SQL commission alone – plus deal close revenue share.
